Looky! Privacy Policy

Looky! is a camera app created by Zack Thar for parents and caregivers. This policy explains how the app handles information.
Photos, videos, and microphone
Looky! uses the camera to capture photos and videos, and requests microphone access for recording video with audio. Captures are saved to your Photos library with your permission. Distraction backgrounds, imported videos, and tap effects are not composited into captured media.
The app stores imported distraction videos and preferences locally on your device. Its session gallery keeps references to captures from the current app session. If a capture cannot be saved, Looky! may retain it locally so you can retry. Looky! does not upload your photos, videos, or microphone recordings to a server operated by us. Your device settings may separately sync Photos or app data through Apple services, including iCloud.
Permissions and control
You can manage camera, microphone, and Photos access in iOS Settings. You choose which distraction videos to import through Photos or Files. You can remove imported videos from the app and delete saved captures through Looky! or Photos. Removing the app does not delete media already saved to Photos.
Purchases
Optional Looky! Pro purchases are processed by Apple. Looky! uses verified StoreKit purchase information to determine access to Pro features and restore eligible purchases. We do not receive your payment-card details.
Analytics, advertising, and children
Looky! does not include third-party advertising or analytics SDKs, require an account, or sell personal information. It is designed for operation by a parent or caregiver; children do not need to submit personal information to use its distraction content. A parent or caregiver controls any photos or videos captured.
Support and this website
If you email us, we receive your email address and the information you choose to share and use it to respond to your request. Please avoid sending photos or other personal information about children unless necessary. These web pages are hosted by WordPress.com, which may process website visit information and cookies under Automattic’s Privacy Policy. This website processing is separate from the camera app.
